I bought a few new (washed) shirts and still experienced odor so I think the washing is kind of BS. At that point, I was past the 30 day return window. I repeated the clothing treatments multiples times without results hoping it would work. I bought their recommended detergent and treated all my clothing as directed nope, still stinky. The company is very upfront that to use the product effectively, your clothes need to be treated first to wash off residual bacteria and residue from former products. I don't care about getting sweaty (this is not an antiperspirant) but this really didn't work well to control odor. I don't have a strong body odor but my underarms will get stinky if I don't use anything. INEFFECTIVE- Guys, nobody wanted this product to work more than me.DISHONEST PRACTICES As I mentioned before, I think the company promotes skewed product reviews by omitting critical reviews. It's safe to use anywhere the gets stinky but I only have used on my underarms. The first positive I will say is that it never irritated my pits, even directly after shaving. All but Native worked well for odor but eventually they all irritated my pits to different degrees In the past I've used Schmidt's Original and Sensitive, Native, and an independent Etsy brand. It's vegan, cruelty-free, aluminum-free, and baking-soda fee. I've used it approximately 60x, pea sized amount per pit and I still have some left. I purchased the 3oz Lume Unscented Deodorant in the tube for $19USD. I'm a big believer in honesty and transparency and my biggest criticism of this product/company is the inability to leave an unbiased review, even/especially if it's negative the company never posted my less than stellar review on their website so I'm taking it to this forum. Click here to exitĪnyone on any form of social media knows about Lume Deodorant their advertising is on point! I loved the catchy commercials, positive reviews, and had been using natural deodorants for years so I thought why the heck not?!? I've been using for 2+ months and felt it was time to write about my experience. Posts without a valid tag will be removed by Automoderator. It's unreal that, that company thought that this was a good idea and that they have been airing these commercials for as long as they have been. I just think that these awful (that's putting it wayyyy nicely!) commercials really hurt the brand and make everyone hate it and not want to try it. I have read way more good reviews than bad and I actually plan on trying it when I get some more money because I like how they also have unscented and scented deodorants are the worst for me specifically. It's more informative and it wasn't a shock value type of thing. Years before these commercials, on their website, they explain why it works and how it kills the bacteria. I have actually done a lot of research into this (before the commercials were ever a thing) because for deodorant, I have insanely sensitive skin, I don't like the chemicals, and I don't want to simply mask any smells.
